We're pleased to announce that we have signed up to be a co-headline sponsor at this year’s Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards.
The event, which brings together some of the region’s most inspiring children, is organised by St. James’s Place Foundation; an organisation that has raised and distributed more than £46m in good causes.
Since our launch in 2013, DomandGeri.com have been keen to get involved with local charities and initiatives that help and support children. As a family-run business, it’s something very close to our hearts.
Company owner Dominic Copsey said:
“When we heard about the Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards last year we knew we wanted to get involved. We provided personalised cards at last year’s event and decided to become a main sponsor for this year’s event. It’s great to see the children enjoying themselves at the awards ceremony and we feel humbled to be supporting such a good cause.”
Over the coming months there will be a series of events in the build-up to the official YCOC Awards night on 14th October at the Royal Armouries in Leeds. On 6th May, the Launch Party took place in Headingley where past winners, their families and celebrities were invited to officially kick-start the campaign. Celebrity appearances included The Chuckle Brothers, Billy Pearce and Leeds Rhinos. Below is a collage of photos from this evening:
There will be local roadshows taking place too, where DomandGeri.com will be involved to help add some visual surprises to proceedings with their personalised wrapping paper.
