It may only be September but before you know it the familiar sound of Christmas carols will be filling the air and the bright flickering lights of the festive season catching your eye. To make sure you’re fully equipped for all things merry and don’t spend the days before Christmas Eve in a panic, we’ve put together a countdown of events to check off your list.
September – Make a plan to make a plan
This is a lot simpler than it sounds and simply involves deciding on two of the most important things before you can continue on your jolly plan of attack – where you will be spending Christmas and with who?
Fast Festive Tip: Get your little ones to write a letter to Santa to find out what they really want for Christmas!
October – Make your list and check it twice
This isn’t necessarily to make a note of who’s naughty or nice, but rather an excuse to update your Christmas cards list and write down some gift ideas. The next stop is our personalised cards for Christmas and personalised Christmas wrapping paper for some inspiration and to add a more personal touch to the tree this year.
Fast Festive Tip: Take a pic of the family together wearing their Christmas jumpers to personalise your Christmas cards!
November – Time to shop
From decorations to the dinner table, November is the perfect time to brave the crowds or head online to start your big festive shop. It’s always best to have a budget in mind to make sure you don’t over spend and have a list prepared of all the people you need to buy for along with some gift ideas. Also make sure you’re stocked up with Christmas decorations, particularly if you’re hosting a festive party or dinner.
Fast Festive Tip: Wrap gifts as you buy them!
Psst…don’t forget to buy a tree!
December – Remember the reason for the season
Christmas is all about coming together and spending time as a family. After decorating the tree, wrapping all the gifts and cooking Christmas dinner, be sure to cherish the day together and make some new merry memories.
Fast Festive Tip: Pour yourself a tipple and relish in the fact of how organised you’ve been this year!
